Top 5 games on PlayStation
What I love to play at the moment
Since I bought a PS3 years ago, I hardly touch my computer to play games. I prefer sitting (well, more lying) on my couch and watch the stories on a big screen. So this is what I enjoy most nowadays!
5. Rainbow Moon
I do not play on my PS Vita that often – normally I take it with me when I go on holidays or longer trips by bus. So I need a game which I don’t constantly have to play to remember the story and gameplay. Rainbow Moon is great, because the battle modus is very simple and you can read everything is your status menu: main quests, side quests, controller settings, map, … The story is simple, too: you wake up on an island and every person you talk to blames you for bringing monsters to the island. So you have to find out, where the monsters who bother the islanders really come from. And your journey begins. Very early in the game, you find companions. Your main character is strong, uses a sword and is also able to use magic. You can buy skills at some shops and also craft your armor with extras you find during your journey. Another character you get uses bow and arrow and is even more related to magic. You fight your enemies round by round but you can increase your initiative and beat them more often. When you hit the monsters (or they hit you), there is a small animation. I like Rainbow Moon because it’s simplicity and it reminds me of games I played in my childhood.
4. Valiant Hearts
This game is somehow sad – it takes place in Europe during World War I and you play several characters, most of the time a guy from France who had to leave his daughter at home alone. Even worse, that daughter wanted to marry a German who had to leave to fight for his own country. But Valiant Heart doesn’t pull on your heartstrings. The developers found a way to be entertaining, informative and find a good level of humour. For example, you get a trophy when you stroke the dog you find. The game is 2-dimensional and comic style – really cool to play! And you learn a lot about First World War (which at least I didn’t do at school). You have different challenges like puzzles or racings – a lot of diversion for a game that’s kept so simple.
3. Borderlands 2
Who doesn’t know this game? It came out for PS4 lateley with pre-sequels and me and my boyfriend spent so many Sundays playing Borderlands 2. I love the comic look and handling weapons is pretty easy, which is important for me for I’m not that familiar with shooters – I am a good sniper, but that’s it. People who tried to play Resident Evil 5 with me know what I mean. The humour is just great and I found myself using quotes from the game in daily life. Now, we start with Tiny Tina’s table top which is so funny!!! Do I have to say more? It’s just… Borderlands!
2. Diablo 3
I waited so long and was so happy when Diablo 3 came out on PS4. Basically, this game was my reason to buy my PlayStation 4 and recently, I won my first platinum trophy ever with that game. Guess how many hours I spent playing… I can’t count them. It’s just so much fun! The story is the same as always – find and kill Diablo and later Maltael to save the world. You can chosse between different professions and – that’s new – skill them anew anytime you want to. You don’t have to follow one skill arm or something. Just choose whatever skill you want. After finishing the storyline, you can go on other adventures like bounties (I did 500 for my platinum trophy) or walk through portals to fight the portal master. Your aim is to make your character better and better and I play torment 9/10 so far having a well-equipped demon hunter with Nathalia set. But as I said, I spent a lot of time with this game and now need a break.
1. Final Fantasy Type-0 HD
Within this break, I started with Final Fantasy Type-0 HD recently. I had difficulties in the beginning because I wasn’t familiar with the gameplay (no rounds – you just beat your enemy with hits or special power for what you need to fill your ATB for). And when you are on missions you need to think of a strategy. What doesn’t make it more easy is that you have 14(!) characters right in the beginning between which you have to choose. I concentrate on two at the moment but try to train all for them for every single one is so special. So to be honest, I can’t say much at the moment about that game but I invite you to visit my twitch channel and join me in my adventure!
