It seems the ALTER BRIDGE-guys never rest. Myles Kennedy is still on his solo-tour and will soon be touring with SLASH and his new Album. Meanwhile, Marc Tremonti released his 4th solo-album – as TREMONTI – in May. After a very successful summer with a lot of festival gigs and a headlining European tour, he will be back in autumn for the second part of this tour.
After four albums, one thing’s for sure: Marc is not only a great guitar player and songwriter, a fact we all know from his history with ALTER BRIDGE and CREED, but also an amazing singer, which maybe comes too short with ALTER BRIDGE.
“A Dying Machine” is TREMONTI’s first concept album.
“A Dying Machine” is TREMONTI’s first concept album taking place in the next century. The main theme is about how human beings and artificial life forms called “vessels” live together in one world. And after some time a war starts because the “vessels” have their own personality. One “vessel” was made to love his owner after he lost his wife and needed to replace her – can this “vessel” save the world? Listen to the album and find out!
Sounds like a nice Since Fiction story? Yes, this album is made for a full-length novel Marc is working on, together with the Author John Shirley. This sounds pretty promising and all fans can look forward to this!
TREMONTI’s tour stops in 24 cities.
Back to the tour: it includes concerts in 24 cities and 15 countries, mostly through the UK and Germany. Tickets cost around 40 euro and are available through TREMONTI’s website.
When I started with concert photography back in 2015, TREMONTI was one of my first shows. I have never seen ALTER BRIDGE live – only live DVDs and Myles Kennedy with SLASH. But I liked TREMONTI‘s first two solo albums and gave him a chance. With ALTER BRIDGE it always seemed he is just the one with the backing vocals on stage. Sometimes his sound was terrible, so you couldn’t see that he really can sing. I didn’t expect much but was pretty impressed by how amazing his band is live! And how amazing Marc sings live! The gig was sold-out and people stood on the floor to celebrate this amazing live band. So, if you want to see an amazing live band you have to attend one of this dates!
Are you going to see TREMONTI live in Europe this year? Where? Tell us in the comments!
