There’s a warm and gentle Summer Breeze blowing over Bavaria, Germany… Oh, well, not that gentle. With Metal acts such as TRIVIUM, ARCH ENEMY, AMARANTHE and WOLFHEART it is more of a heavy storm raging over the small village of Dinkelsbühl – and we can’t wait to experience it!
Summer Breeze has become one of the biggest Metal Festivals in Germany since its founding in 1997, with roundabout 45.000 visitors. Nonetheless, it has the fame of a cozy, familiar festival. Known for our LOHAS (Lifestyle Of Health And Sustainability – clarification for and by Kiki), we are happy to know that the festival attendees have the option of Green Camping on the festival site, which is free for groups of up to 10 people. It includes strict waste separation and disposal, being considerate with camping neighbors (okay, it should be standard to be polite, but if you like to have some peace after a long day of head banging…) and sensible use of water supplies in showers and toilets. If you attend Summer Breeze with more than 10 friends, however, it’ll cost 10,-€ per person, which might be worth it for us planet-lovers.
Other attractive specials are the pre-party and the Nuclear Blast Label Night featuring big names such as GRAVEYARD, PARADISE LOST and SEPULTURAon Wednesday evening. Besides the already named, we look forward to seeing POWERWOLF, DORO, JINJER, FOREVER STILL, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, DIE APOKALYPTISCHEN REITER and soooo many more bands at Summer Breeze 2018!
