M’Era Luna 2015 pre-report
Gonna be a freaky and lazy weekend!
Coming back after a long time.
It’s years ago that I visited M’Era Luna Festival in Hildesheim, but this is a festival that doesn’t change much. They still run their event at a mini airport with two stages, one of them open air. And they still have a medievil market which they started years ago. Of course, they got tons of shops on the festival site where you can buy clothes and accessoires. I’ll take money with me for sure!
M’Era Luna doesn’t start in the middle of the week – it’s only Saturday and Sunday, but there will be a party on Friday night for those who come early and sleep at the camping site. Funny fact: You are not allowed to have barbecue… What are people going to eat then? Well, it’s gonna be hot, so we won’t be that hungry and concentrate on drinks and bands.
So looking forward to the headliners!
I already mentioned NIGHTWISH. For me, it is the first time to see them live with Floor Jansen and I am really, really excited! Unfortunately, they only have one hour for their gig, so I guess there won’t be too many old songs. But that’s okay, because I’m looking forward to see the new songs performed.
Second headliner is ROB ZOMBIE – I think, it’ll be a cool show. I am not into his music that much, so I gonna relax and enjoy what’s happening on stage. There are many bands worth just watching because of complex stage make-up and clothes and because of their show – like BLUTENGEL, TANZWUT and LÂME IMMORTELLE.
Dance, dance, dance…
But never forget the party! I’ll be wearing my dancing shoes for DOPE STARS INC., DEATHSTARS, MONO INC., ASP and – most of all – NACHTMAHR. You see – some of the bands are really strange but cool somehow. The line-up is a cool mixture of metal, gothic and EBM bands.
There is another interesting band from a very small genre called horror punk: THE OTHER. Their show and make-up are great! And I am looking forward to see songs from their new album “Fear Itself” performed live. Two unpopular female fronted bands will also play at M’Era Luna: SPIELBANN, which might be too much medievil for me, and ELVELLON. You should really check them out! They uploaded a whole concert on YouTube. The band won the newcomer award. Watch the video and you know why. Unfortunately, they play a 11 a.m. so I’m not sure if I make it to the festival site in time.
Warm up with the trailer.
I’ll report from the festival and write a live review later… Until then enjoy the trailer!
